The Black Hawk Hiking Club series, 1920-1939 and undated, consists of images of various hike activities, such as cooking over a campfire and making camp, and images of various locations from local and Big Hikes. Most notable are an image of the club's very first hike and its Big Hikes to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Colorado and Mexico. Also included are several images depicting lyrics to the club's songs.

The John Hauberg subseries, 1889-1929 and undated, contains images of Hauberg and his nuclear family, including his parents (Marx Detlev Hauberg and Anna Margaret Frels Hauberg), his wife, Susanne (and her companion, referred to only as Tante Mina), and his children, Catherine Denkmann Hauberg and John Henry Hauberg Jr. The children are sometimes pictured with their nurses, Miss Ross and Miss Vogt.
